Confleect is an early product idea for an app designed to help two people work through a conflict together.
Not to decide who’s right. Not to pick a side. But to ask better questions, slow things down and help both people understand what the other is actually trying to say.
Because “just talk about it” isn’t always that easy.

Two people. One conflict. A neutral space in between.
The central idea behind Confleect is moderation.
Instead of leaving two people to repeat the same arguments back and forth, the app could guide them through the conversation.
Ask questions.
Give each person space to explain their side.
Help uncover what they're actually disagreeing about.
And make it easier to hear the other person's perspective without immediately preparing the next argument.
The app wouldn’t be there to tell you who won. The goal would be to help you stop trying to win.

First, maybe don’t answer yet.
Sometimes the best thing you can do for a conflict is not continue it immediately.
Confleect could include small activities designed to help people step away from anger before trying to solve anything.
Take a moment.
Do something else.
Come back when you're actually ready to talk.
And when a situation needs more help than an app can reasonably provide, Confleect could point people towards appropriate external resources.
Not every conflict needs another message right now.

There’s a way out hiding in the name.
We wanted the name to contain the idea behind the product. So we created Confleect. And hidden inside it:
CONFLEECT
Flee the endless argument.
Flee the same conversation going in circles.
Flee the part where neither person is listening anymore.
Find a way out of the conflict instead.

Conflict doesn’t have to look angry.
A product about disagreement could easily become visually aggressive. Red. Warning signs. Angry faces.
We wanted to go in the opposite direction.
The early Confleect identity uses a calmer, playful visual language intended to make the product feel approachable rather than confrontational.
Calmer.
Playful.
Approachable.
By the time someone opens the app, there’s probably enough tension already. The interface doesn’t need to add more.

What we’re exploring.
Conflict moderation
A guided conversation designed to help two people explain their perspectives and understand each other better.
Better questions
Using prompts to move the conversation beyond repeating the same arguments.
Cooling down
Activities that could help people step away from anger before continuing the discussion.
Finding more help
Directing people towards appropriate outside resources when the situation needs support beyond what the product can provide.
What we’ve worked on so far.
Product idea
Exploring how a digital product could create a more neutral space for difficult conversations.
Naming
Creating Confleect around the idea of finding a way out of conflict, with FLEE hidden directly inside the name.
Logo
Turning that wordplay into the central element of the early identity.
Visual direction
Beginning to explore a calmer, friendlier alternative to the aggressive visual language usually associated with conflict.
Find a way out of the fight.
Could technology help us disagree a little better?
Confleect is still an idea. No finished product yet. No complicated feature list. Just a question we’re interested in exploring.
